Boiler is
defined as a closed vessel in which water
or other fluid is
heated under pressure.
The steam
or hot fluid is then circulated out of the boiler for use in various process or
heating applications. In this site, we’d
like to go beyond this definition and consider a boiler more than just a closed
vessel, rather a process plant in which energy is generated for a noble use
benefiting customers in their lively necessities. Boilers are widely used in several
industrial, communities, military, scientific, and medical applications
requiring close and clear attention for the safety and benefits of users.
Several
concepts in boiler subjects such as boiler fundamentals, engineering,
operations, optimization, and components will be illustrated in simple terms to
allow better understanding and hence better handling of boilers and all their
related aspects.
